laughingsquid: I Should Become a Professional Photographer Note to self: Do Not Do This. I always think photos like that look pretentious, but it’s hard to say why. Perhaps it’s my inherent mistrust of things which are in a hurry to name themselves “Art”. Don’t get me wrong—I like flowers, and I even like pictures of flowers. But I have to agree that perhaps I’ve seen enough pictures of flowers with dewdrops on them. It’s a rite of passage, and probably every photographer needs to learn how to get that shot…but I’d rather have subtle than precious.
